First post following my first run! I'm not going to lie, it was hard work. I completed it though and have a great sense of achievement ☺️ Just hope the knees hold out! Looking forward to my next run 😁

Don't let it be hard work Campervan62 slow it down to a pace that works for you 👍

neither are ours, Willow used to hobble home in the early days, we had a gait analysis and bought stupidly expensive running shoes we also took extra days between runs and Willow wore a knee support for a while

Today we ran 8k slow and steady and the muscles round our knees have strengthened

The first time out is a killer- your body is in “what the h... do you think you’re doing” mode and you just want to get back onto that couch! Resist! Read Iannoda Truffe’s pinned post for newbies at the top of this page; stay well hydrated and take it slow. Trust me you can’t go too slow - and I say that as the official C25K slowcoach! Enjoy!
