Hi I began C25K a year ago. I'm still going out 3 times a week, usually 7 am. Hardly miss a run. I do about 3 -4.5 k a run, enough for me. It has been a life changing decision. I bought good shoes £108 - my only outlay and worth it! So, if you are starting out- you can do this and it can change your whole perception of yourself! I'm 67 now and GP says carry on as long as I can. Good luck!

Well done! I graduated in June, I'm 66, hope I'm still doing this in a year's time. We've got this!

I though 66 was too old to start but it's not! I've learned that if I skip it I regret it. I don't always have a good run but always , always get that buzz afterwards that I did it in spite of etc. I hope you will keep going. Good luck😊

That’s brilliant- well done you are amazing 😉 - I find it hard getting out 3 times a week after graduating early July. I’m nearly 65 usually manage twice a week but work seems to get in the way or rather I don’t get up early enough as I prefer early morning runs. I enjoy the running and will continue but it’s not that regular habit yet. I’m working on it. Happy running 🏃🏼‍♀️😁

Thank you Dreambird. I agree early runs are great. If I miss it or go later I really regret not pushing myself out of bed and just getting started. It makes the whole day have a good rhythm and shape, which is important to me now I'm retired. Don't know if I could have done what you are achieving when I still worked, ( till 65😊) though, so good on you!😄👍

Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary on beginning C25K, I hope you have had a good year of running, well done.

I also spent over a £100 for running shoes, those are the most expensive shoes that I have ever bought, onwards and upwards to a second year of running. 😊 🏃🏾

Thank you! I felt a bit bad telling of the cost of the shoes but it was seriously worth it and beyond that running is such a low cost activity! Onwards and upwards all👍

Great post , I do hope I can continue to get three runs in regularly . I go out at 7am too and probably should try a different time of day now that daylight is shortening .

I love coming in from the run and having my coffee & hot shower though , really sets my compass to happy & positive to start my day 🙂👌☀️

Hope you continue to get so much pleasure from running and don’t worry about the shoes .... you’re worth it 😂👌
