Week 4 run 3

Completed week 4 today - and honestly felt like final 5 minute run was my toughest run yet - didnt have a great sleep last night, so this was probably the reason. Anyway, sun shining here in Belfast, so just tried to focus on the nice scenery and mcfadden & whitehead’s ‘aint no stopping us now’ got me to the finish 😆

Considering doing one more round of week 4 before onto week 5 - want to be as prepared as possible for the 20 min coming up

Well done on getting to wk 5 . Honestly give week 5 a go and if it’s too much then go back to week 4 but the program is designed to prepare you for longer runs. I’m fairly new to c25k and very surprised at what I’m achieving. Go for it. Enjoy 😉

Thanks...your probably right, i’ll go for it and see how it goes!....Yeah, i never thought after puffing and panting my way through week 1 that i’d be managing 5 minute runs! Feel great for it though...good luck with the rest of your journey 💪🏻

Well done, but if any run is tough just slow down.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

Well done for completing. I've had to attempt the 3rd run twice as just had too much pain. Tried slowing down bit body just says no at the moment but I'll keep trying. Good luck for week 5

Pain is so frustrating, i hope you get rid of it. Had some trouble the first few weeks too but almost fully gone now - some niggles in the shin at the start of the runs. Good luck and keep going 💪🏻

Beautiful view 😍

Nahh, you’re ready - go grab your W5 by the horns! W4 is the making of you in this programme so don’t be put off by W5 appearing more tough.

If you don’t manage one of the runs, just repeat it. Simples. Treat it like a practice run until you nail it.

I bet you’ll do fine 😃 Just strip it right back on your first run and concentrate on keeping your energy in the tank. You can always sprint at the end! 👍🏼

Good luck!

Don't fear week 5, it's really not that bad. The thought of it scares folk but the programme deffinately makes sure your prepared. Ignore the voice saying you can't, YOU CAN! 💪🏻 You will smash it.

Keep it up!
