Well this week my pace has dropped, not sure why I fel like I am putting in as much effort, maybe overdoing the Walking now I do on average 23,000 steps at 6.5km/h should I reduce this and see if it feels better. This is on my 30 minute plus runs BTW.

Your runs should not all be at a particular pace.

An easy conversational pace equates to approximately 75% of your maximum heart rate, which is the perfect zone to build the solid aerobic base required to run faster and further, which is why it is the pace at which elite athletes spend up to 80% of their training time.

In your remaining time you can work on speed with intervals or fartlek.

Trying to run flat out on every run is the sign of a rookie runner.

23,000 steps over 5km seems quite a lot. That's a stride of 22cm. My feet are longer than that!

Noo I also Walk 23,000 steps my running steps are not counted in this, I run for 30 Min's twice a week then a longer Run of 40 Mins once a week, I think I answered my own Q really as looking at my Diary I have increased my walking to quickly maybe I have to reduce the Walking distance on the day before a run. I do vary my pace on the shorter duns with a push on the pace on the uphills.
