I’ve been quietly getting on with consolidation, using the W9 podcasts alongside mapmyrun and sticking to the 30min. I’ve been keeping a pretty consistent pace (although I actually got slower straight after graduation, I’m back to my W9 pace now). I usually cover 4.6-4.7km in the 30min.
Set off today (Consolidation 8) as usual, but with a vague plan that if it felt good I might carry on to get a little bit closer to 5k.
After the 4km notification from mapmyrun I was expecting to hear from Jo with her 5min to go pep-talk but it didn’t come. I just kept going, didn’t really think much of it and some good tunes were playing. Next thing I knew, MapMyRun was announcing 5km in 33 and a bit minutes. Delighted with it! The C25K app was paused with 5:20 of running to go, no idea why!
Now I feel like I’ve re-graduated! Now to consolidate the 5km and maybe build up to longer times.
