Wk 6 R1 Well less eventful (not cats) but didn’t enjoy

No drama but didn’t enjoy this run. Felt tired and couldn’t wait for Jo to tell me how long I had until I could walk again, the last 60 seconds of the middle (8min) run was the worst.

Funnily enough my pace was quicker than the last runs... still a snails pace ! Just couldn’t enjoy it, kept trying to be positive whilst I was running.

Body felt tired breathing was okay. Purposely went out later as thought my legs would be less tired and it has been hot. Sun was still out and I felt too warm running also.

Will put this behind me, main thing is I completed it and will look forward to run 2.

A lot of us found this run tough so you are in good company. Well done ✅ you did it

I struggle some days and then others are really wonderful

Think it depends on your energy levels too. Well done though 💪 I’ve just finished week 6, suffering with a really sore back at the moment though

Thanks, have been busy in the house and garden and did feel a bit tired before I ventured out. Hope your back improves 🤞🏻

Thank you 😊

I developed a very sore back around that time and had a few sessions with a sports injury clinic which really helped.

I'm now onto week 9 run 2 and so far minimal pain!

I'm the same Jules - did mine today and after the euphoria of week 5 run 3 wasn't feeling it today either...onwards and upwards

Bizarre.... never mind we did it 👍🏻. As you say “onwards and upwards”. I do feel better for doing it, just didn’t enjoy it.

Oh, sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy this one, ladies. It seems to be a popular unpopular run..! 🙃 I bet your mojo comes flying back for R2 xxx

Me too. I struggled with Week 6 Run 1. I also tweaked my calf playing football today and my hip is painful. My lungs were still dodgy despite doing the runs and improving my meds. I may not be able to do Run 2 until Wednesday depending on how my calf muscle is. I may eventually have to stop altogether if my hip is going. But until then I’m going to try and enjoy it a little bit :)

Playing football involves a fair bit of running around, too.

Not the way I play :)

Nor the way I played at school, long long ago. I was more like a linesman.

I spent half the game in goal today.

They tried me in goal once. Only once.

My preferred position was "left behind".

Mine was right back behind the goal!

Well done! I’ve done a couple of runs in the evening but have realised early morning is best for me, energy levels in the evening feel non existent 😂

Thanks. I thought it might help my legs as sometimes first thing they are tired. Will see if a morning run changes my levels.

I feel you, completed run 8 today! Can’t believe I have got this far. It was hard work though, like you say, my breathing was fine but legs felt heavy, just couldn’t wait for it to end. I just strive for the feeling I get at the end. I really want to be one of those people that loves running 😅

Me too, I want to be one of those people that soak up the scenery and enjoy rather than thinking how long have I got 🙁

I really struggled with this one, no idea why, but it did make me question if I wanted bother, but keep going, snails pace is good 👍 😉
