What a disaster!🙈I got about 3 minutes into my run and went absolutely FLYING!! I’ve ripped all my leggings, my legs are bleeding, battered and bruised and to top it all off I had a nice big audience who witnessed the full thing🙈🤣
As embarrassed as I was I got up and briefly carried on- until I actually noticed my leggings were shredded!🤣 Maybe I’ll try again tomorrow🙃
I had so much energy for this one too and the weather has really cooled down😩 Hows everyone else’s runs gone today? Hopefully better than mine!😂

So very sorry about your fall Ellaloux, I hope someone in your audience helped you get up, it probably wasn't advisable to carry on with your run, you will feel the affect of that fall for at least a week, I would advise you not to run until your injury has healed.
Thank you! They didn’t unfortunately but oh well😊I only carried on for about a minute until I realised my legs were a mess🙈 Thank you for the advice, I will wait until I’m all healed and crack on again😃
Oh no, sorry to hear that, hope you aren't too sore and can find another pair of leggings to get out again tomorrow! As for me, it's been a non-running day today but I'm planning a nice relaxing run for tomorrow as I've been doing lots of strength work and still need a bit of extra recovery time after Friday's run.
I was running on like a gravely uneven footpath and didn’t notice there was a little hole and my foot caught in it and I went flying🙈My leggings have completely torn on both knees and on the pockets somehow🙈Oh well, I’ll try again next week😂🙈
So sorry this happened. I run on a similar surface and try to follow the advice to look up and ahead but might go back to looking down after your accident.
Ohh my , I stumble often , but i haven't face planted yet ! I am visually impaired, my excuse lol. Heal well and I get the favourite leggings thing x x .I winced when I read this x.
Thank you😊It just came out of nowhere and I couldn’t stop myself🙈I’m the same I do stumble quite a lot, but I usually manage to control it before I go flying across the floor🤣x
Bless you, it's my worst nightmare and I'm scared to run if it's too wet in case I slip. I hope you're not too achy this morning.
I've not run since Monday because of the extreme heat mid week, and because I've been travelling yesterday and will be today, but I'm not scared about the break now because I know my legs are strong and my lungs are strong and I'll pick it up where I left off tomorrow. So don't be afraid to take the time you need to recover, let your body heal, you'll run all the better for it when you get out there. Do some stretches on the non injured bits if you can't bear to do nothing!! Sending happy healing thoughts xxx
I did this on Wednesday. I run eith too big strides downhill and fell. I got back up out of pride and ran for another 2 minutes until I could turn down another road. Then I inspected the damage. I had blood streaming into my shoes from a huge gash on my knee. I now have 4 stitches and it’s bruised and swollen. I can't walk. I'm totally gutted. I hope you are back running quicker than me. X
Oh my goodness!! You ran on for 2 minutes with a cut that needed 4 stitches?! Ouch. Rest that knee and I hope you’re running again when the time is right 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️ x x
I know! I saw it as a sign I should keep going. It wasn't a sign. It was just terrible terrible timing! I think when I eventually get back out there and hear it it might make me slow down and remind me to check myself! I'm not a beautiful gazelle just yet!
Sounds like you took quite a tumble 😕. Take care of yourself and rest up. Hope you heal quickly. An excuse for another pair of leggings perhaps?? Every cloud ⛅️
So sorry to hear you fell and about your leggings. I feel for you, but you must take it easy as it can take some time for the affects of the fall to become apparent. Rest and listen to your body and happy running in the future.
I had a similar experience last year, I took myself and my dog out to a neighbouring forest park, I was going great guns until I tripped over the bumpy path, became airborne and came to a sliding stop in front of a bunch of rambling gents!!! Believe me I got up as quick as I went down. The shame, but to cap it all, my trusted 4 legged friend took herself off for a dip in the lake oblivious to my plight!! I lost a pair of sunglasses too, thankfully they were only primark’s finest....the upshot of this is, I think we’ve all been that soldier, I think back on it now and laugh, but it was anything but funny then. Hopefully your wounds will heal soon and Chuck the leggings in the bin!!
That’s sounds like exactly what happened to me!! Hahaha that ticked me about your dog🤣The leggings have gone straight in the bin, there’s no saving them🙈😂x
I also twisted the ankle then sllliiiiddddd to a stop at the dogs shocked face lol x I was luckier than you though as didn’t have an audience so early in the morning
OMG, how awful, firstly hope you have now recovered. Make sure you have fully recovered though before you run too far or fast. You may have done more damage than you realise.
thank you! My legs feel more sore now than they did on Friday!! the more time passes the worse they are looking🙈A few more days and I think they’ll be fine!😊
Sorry to hear you’ve had a mishap. I know exactly how you feel. I’ve been running 16 months and have fallen over twice. Once the same as you. It was raining and I slipped running around a corner and took both knees out, then my next encounter I was Coming to the end of my first 10K when I tripped over a drain cover(I think) and BANG, down I went, chin first. I actually saw stars. A lady getting into her car ran over to check if I was ok. I called my husband to come and collect me as I sat on the ground stunned. You should have seen my chin the next day. I had a lump the size of an egg and it was black and blue. One of the hazards of running I guess. But we put it behind us and off we go again. So don’t let it put you off.
It’s bound to happen at some point isn’t it! Oh gosh that sounds so painful😩I’m really feeling it today- my legs are not a pretty sight😂
You can’t stop yourself either can you! I was on the floor before I could even think to try and stop myself😂 what a lovely lady to come and help you though!😊
