Are you drinking enough? My ankles and hands were so swollen this morning and I needed to drink a litre straight after running and then drank another 2L once I got home. Hands and feet now feeling much better.
Maybe take a couple of days rest and start w2 when the weather has cooled down a bit? Good luck 👍
Do what feels best for you - the heat makes it very hard. I go out very early in the morning to avoid the worst.
The only bad decision would be to give up! Any other decision about how soon to run again is for you to make!
Hi rugbygirl, I'm hoping that today's cooler weather is helping you, but anyway. I have a swollen ankle due to injury and it's worse in the hot weather. So I treat it like a new injury, ice and elevate. This might help you. 15 minutes if you can. A bag of frozen peas if you haven't got an icepack, or even a wet cloth or a bowl of cold water, then sit with your feet up for ten minutes. (Yes you will feel like a numpty! 😁)
