Wk9 R2 - Could kick myself!!!

Had to take just over a week off 2 weeks ago with a very swollen ankle.......it was kind of running related, I tripped on uneven ground and kicked my ankle hard! I literally kicked myself for being so clumsy! πŸ˜‚

I went from flying like a race horse in wk8 to a kicking ass in 1 run! πŸ˜‚ ok.....maybe not flying like a racehorse.....more like plodding like a mule!!

Anyway, I went back into forum lurker mode for a week whilst I made sure I was fully recovered from my donkey kick and now, here I am having completed the penultimate run!

I took this run slow and steady to make sure I got to graduation but managed a little sprint at the end just to impress the dog walker coming towards me with my effortless glide and stunning sportsman prowess.......unfortunately my sweating forehead, red face, desperate wild eyes and the fact I was moving barely quicker than a walk probably showed me up as the trying hard amateur I am!

So here I am, ready and able to complete this challenge.

Just 1 more run!!

Thank you...I think we all deserve an actual medal. Can’t believe there is just 1 run left!

Well done πŸ‘πŸ‘ !!! For the run today and persevering following injury.

Just 30 mins to go ! Think back to W1R1 to today ... big achievement ! πŸ…

As for the dog walker I am reliably informed by dog walking friends of mine when they see a runner they tend to be in awe of runners thinking β€œhow do they do it” ... πŸ˜€

Thank you! Have certainly come a long way since that 1st run!!

I’m glad dog walkers are impressed with runners......even the sweaty, red faced wild eyed ones.

Well done! Slow pace is better than no pace- I keep telling myself that! πŸ₯³

I love the paragraph how you tried to impress the dog walker πŸ˜‚ I can completely relate to the description of sweaty and red face- felt like reading about myself! πŸ˜‚

Thank you! I like to think my pace is building to a final crescendo for the final run!! The dog walkers will feel the strong gust of my slip stream as I fly past them....well that’s how it happens in my imagination anyway! Reality will be a little less dramatic πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Well done for your run following injury! I expect the dog walker thought you were training for a marathon πŸ˜€

Thank you. By the look of me at that point she could be forgiven for thinking I was on mile 25 of the marathon πŸ₯΅
