Guys I am on top of the worldddd! Thank you to everyone for their advice today - ofcourse I ignored you all and ran too fast πŸ˜‚. I soon learnt my lesson and the Japanese running was a total lifesaver to recover! I soon found a pace I could do and my last run was a RUN. I feel so good now and amazed I was able to complete it, I thought I wouldn’t be able to. Much love and I’m now running round spreading endorphins. No pun intended.

Great job out there... definitely sounds better than my first one 🀣. Now you’ve found a happy pace that’s all you need to use for this plan... keep it comfortable and not only will this be easier to do, it’ll develop your muscles and cardiovascular system better and quicker than running fast!

Keep smiling... keep being proud of yourself. Happy running.

I have just watched a feature on The One Show about C25K, it confirmed on what I thought, if a runner can complete run 3 of week 5, nine times out of ten they can complete the course, most runners who don't complete the course, give up at around week 4 or the first two runs of week 5.

I saw that on the One Show as well. Very interesting!!

Congratulations on completing run 1 of week 1 and welcome to the forum, take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish to, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, remember not to run on consecutive days as that could cause a injury, good luck to you Sally for your running journey with C25K 😊 πŸƒπŸΎ.

PS:- a little tip, don't look ahead at future weeks or runs, wait for the instructions from your coach before you run. πŸƒπŸΎ πŸ‘

It’s all amazing! Congratulations for getting out there. Just get that conversational pace sorted and you’ll be off. Good luck with the adventures ahead of you. It’s a life changer.

For various reasons I did week 1 three times, making all sorts of mistakes initially, including running too fast and choosing a route that was much too hilly.

And not forgetting the importance of good socks. πŸ˜‰

Hahah noted! I’ve heard a lot about socks I’m going to need to research this πŸ˜‚

You'd have thought that natural fibres are good for running socks, but apparently not.
