Today starts the full running experience ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ... no breaks... and Iโ€™ll be honest, it went well and felt good.

No tech issues today ๐Ÿ™ ... music on, Michael explaining whatโ€™s in store for W7 and after 5 mins warm up, I was off.

Now I had planned to set a playlist of Blondie today (first celeb crush and 1st album bought) but was derailed yesterday with a full restructuring announcement at work so didnโ€™t finish until late .... so put on a random playlist I compiled years ago ... some old faves, INXS, ABC, Human League, Visage, Bowie etc

The 1st half is flat and I was taking note of where I was and Michael said Iโ€™d done 5 mins, and thought Iโ€™m ahead of where I normally am ... same at half way ... began thinking am I going too fast. Not sure if I had, but 5mins from the end is uphill and my legs were feeling heavy. Started to slow down, but that hill usually does that to me, but was feeling harder today.

The last notes of AC/DCโ€™s You Shook Me All Night Long blaring out and I was feeling slow but then ... the melodic tunes of the โ€œlegendaryโ€ Middle of The Road and Chirpy Chirpy Cheap Cheap started playing and I burst out laughing ... god knows how that was on the playlist ... but I forgot how my legs were feeling and before I knew it I was on the flat with a minute to go and Michael said go for it ... so I did !

When I stopped and looked at my time, a personal best !!! Was so pleased and felt great.

That said, I really need to look at my music ๐ŸŽต for the rest of the runs ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Music makes all the difference with me, I was running in the bad weather the other day when โ€˜Rain on Meโ€™ (Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande) came on, not only did it make me laugh but the rhythm made me go faster! Sounds like the run went well anyway, well done!!

Thank you ... I couldnโ€™t run without music ... it has that pace setting but also as with today and as per your post, can make you laugh and forget any negativity.... some PBs on km times so went well indeed !

Wow, what an encouraging post! Iโ€™ve been commenting lately about our recent runs and the lack of drama and yours is no exception. Well done for the run, and the personal best. And the music, too - Chirpy Chirpy Tweet Tweet, though. What were you thinking ?!

Thanks Jools ... the lack of drama really helps as keeps me focused ...

And as for that legendary song, I recall downloading it to play over and over to my parents as it so winds my mum up ... she hates it ... but guess the joke is now on me ... Bowie, AC/DC ... then that ! Eclectic I think they call it!
