Graduated today - three years ago! πŸ†

I was the most unlikely candidate for this program! 😨

Not for one minute of the first 6 weeks did I think I could complete C25K 😨

Not for one minute of a year (or more) did I think I would ever consider myself a runner πŸ™„

Not for one minute since starting this program have I regretted it 😍

I don't remember when I started to feel like a runner πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

But now, I know I can't imagine a life without running. Really. I think it's that good! Me. The most unlikely runner there was 😍

Hang on in there, the rewards are just amazing 😎

Ahh, thank you. No-one at home is interested, so I have to find someone else to share it with 🀣

Happy run anniversary Linda, I am so pleased that you continued your c25k journey because we got to meet and become friends through this. It’s only been a year for me and like you I have no regrets either ❀️

Look forward to catching up again soon 😊 Oh, I think I heard that community outdoor sports may be allowed to start in July... I’m thinking parkrun πŸ˜€

Hello you! Yes indeed, there are so many great spin-offs from that very first run, who knew?

It was such a positive step πŸ™‚

A year is definitely something to celebrate!

Ooh, parkrun in July ... that would be amazing! 🀞

Congratulations on your three year runniversary, I am sure you have enjoyed every run, or at least most since you graduated from C25K, yesterday I ran a 10K to celebrate my second runiversary, onwards and upwards πŸƒπŸΎ πŸ‘

Congratulations on your runniversay Almorr!

I'm not sure I could, in all honesty, say I've enjoyed every run - week 1 run 1 was particularly unpleasant as I remember πŸ˜€ - but I've learned that after any bad run there are many more good ones and that's enough to keep me coming back for more πŸ‘

You too! I always try to run with a smile on my face πŸ˜€ any tips for running in the massive heat expected next week πŸ₯΅πŸ€”

linda9389 profile image
linda9389Graduate in reply to Angelpoppy

Hmmm ... it's not easy in the heat! Get out there as early as you can, stay to the shady side of the street (or through trees maybe), wear as little as decently possible, wear looser clothing, go a bit slower, drink plenty the day before as well as during and after your run ... wetting your clothes or your hair can help too. If in doubt, don't go as far/long in the heat, but add a little to a run on a cooler day instead (when I first graduated I felt all my runs had to be 30 minutes or 5k; once I relaxed and made some runs shorter, some longer, it all became more interesting). If it really is too hot to run take an extra day off - try some indoor strength exercises instead. Good luck. Take care.

Very inspiring! Thankyou for posting this.... I hope I morph into a β€œrunner” at some point rather than someone trying to run πŸ˜‚

Happy 3rd runniversary Linda. I beg to differ, though - I am the most unlikely runner ever πŸ˜‚ And now we are all runners πŸ˜ƒ Onward and upward πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

You do have a point! There a lot of 'the most unlikely runners' who discover and stick with C25K πŸ˜ƒ. A large number who all came to the program equally unlikely. But it didn't stop us! Onward indeed - happy running 😊
