Injury.....but ok now! Where to restart?

I managed quite well with week 6 runs, but am on week 7 and have an injury. My hip flexors are so sore, lifting my leg is very painful even when sitting! Im in my fifties, so sometimes struggle with joint pain! So I have laid off running for 7 days and feel ready to get back on it tomorrow .....where should I start?

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

You lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running, so pick up where you left off.
