Wisdom v Ignorance

Yesterday I finished W2R1 and things were ok.

Today I decided to reread the advice that IannodaTruffe gave after my post proceeding W1R1.

I thought I had read the advice given diligently, I went through each tag to other bits of advice and I thought I had digested them.

Reading these posts/advice a second time after a few runs was a real eye opener.

Things like recovery times, not going too fast and other invaluable pieces of advice had not really sunk in, it’s only after a few runs that their true value began to show for me and that was only after re-reading things again.

What I would say to newbies like me is go back and look again at the links in IannodaTruffe‘s advice.

Thanks for that.

I agonised about how much information to put into that initial post, knowing it was long and that a lot of it might not actually mean anything to new runners until they had a bit of experience, but just hope that others, like you, use it as their basic reference throughout the plan.

Knowledge is power.

Yep, have to say I always refer back to his post, all good sound advice, with links to more info, if needed.

Must admit I totally relished in the slow and steady mantra........ and it has worked. Wk9r3 is my next run 😌.

Keep at it and if struggling, slow it down, you WILL graduate and continue getting fitter 👍 goodluck
