Yes I’m one of them. I love the support that us caregivers are receiving. All people who are having to work deserve our support. From the garage forecourt , to the bin men. All vital jobs. πŸ‘πŸ‘

A band I like once said β€œmost of my heroes still don’t appear on no stamp” and forgiving them their grammar, they were spot on!

NHS heroes... care working heroes... supply & service chain heroes... emergency service heroes... huge volunteer army heroes. Never in my life have I noticed just how many heroes are all around me... never in my future will I fail to notice them again.

A tear in my eye whilst clapping and waving to neighbours. Cars going past sounding their horns. A real moment of solidarity and togetherness. Makes you realise that despite the news sometimes, the huge majority are good people.

I am one of them and I cried - it is wonderful to feel so appreciated in these very difficult times πŸ™

We are all realising how we are bound together, and how we depend on so many people who have been widely undervalued until now. Thank you to all of you who keep us going - I, at least, will not forget, nor will I let those we elect to power forget either! πŸ’•

Thanks, I heard it from my designated part of the house as I begin my self isolation. Got to admit I feel a bit grim, and worried......

Live in the middle of nowhere with no close neighbours so we clap just ourselves. However, seeing others on tv does bring tears to my eyes and a lump to my throat. I am so proud of our all our front line workers.

It is lovely that people take the time to show appreciation for what we do and I am grateful - however, what would really help us is people taking time to read NHS guidance on NHS inform and managing mild symptoms at home rather than ringing in. Also ensuring they follow guidance around self isolation properly. Doing the right thing isn’t easy but it is vital.

Absolutely! I’m high risk and haven’t been out the house since 19th March other than in the garden. And husband is doing the same whilst working from home, so he can protect me, himself, and the NHS. Thank you for all you’re doing πŸ’™πŸ‘πŸ»

That’s so kind. Happy that you’re keeping yourselves safe - that’s great. It’s not easy. I’m grateful to get out to work!

I’m so worried - people have massively underestimated this virus. All the best. S x

Definitely makes me emotional. I stand there banging my saucepan and thinking of my third year midwifery student daughter, starting another (unpaid) 12 hour night shift, without ppe, but always going off to hospital with a positive smile! Makes me proud of her and all the other key workers putting themselves at risk for the good of the nation. β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️

Totally emotional and standing clapping till my hands hurt in my drive way - I just hope when this crisis is over that this is not forgotten and we stay focused on what matters, not fake celebrity etc....

I do. I must be a 56yo softie. I go out on my balcony in my village in TRNC and clap solo waking up all the dogs.

Yes I get quite emotional. We live in the middle of nowhere but we stand on the step and clap out into the dark. son and daughter in law are doctors, son in law a teacher, another daughter in law a nurse. And we clap for all those still working, carers and binmen and retail staff in supermarkets. My ambition is to be heard in the village across the valley. Next time I am trying dustbin lids!

I cry everytime you are not alone, it makes me feel very humble, I am in isolation until Tuesday. Beginning to feel better now 😁 xx

Yes .... very 😒... then turn the telly on and watch it all over the country and cry again 😭

Very emotional 😭. No other clappers, just OH and myself living out in the sticks. We clapped really hard.

Then I clapped for my OH who works in food production. Working 14 hours shifts 6 days a week and finding it very difficult to keep a 2 metre distance from others when trying to communicate with others over the noise of the machines. I worry about him all the time.

Emotional this morning as my Father in law passed away early this morning after getting Covid19 πŸ˜”

Bless you NHS for taking such good care of him until the end πŸ’™

OH has still gone into work today. I’m so proud of him πŸ₯°

Part of production is for the government now, to feed vulnerable and needy people. A certain brand of soup made in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Oh I’m so sorry for your loss. I am sure we will many of us lose someone we love before this is all over. I am living on my own and only going out to run or walk. Shopping being delivered ( and disinfected) but I worry about my son and daughter in her house ..and my other son and his girlfriend ...and my 75 year old sister .. and my grandsons in Australia and Germany

We WILL get through this and yes I cried when the clapping was going on at the thought of all those brave people out there fighting the war against this horrible virus. Where would we be without them ? πŸ’•πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

I do believe that when we get through this (which won’t be soon) there will be a change in what we regard as important in life, as well as how we perceive who and what add real value to our lives.

The answers are playing out in front of us daily and the common themes seem to me to be care, respect, tolerance and kindness.

Definitely...highlight of the week. See the neighbours and hearing the roar over the houses. A beautiful moment at this horrid time. πŸ˜˜πŸ‘πŸ‘

I get emotional, thought it was just me and because our daughter is a nurse in London so haven't seen/can't see her as we live in the midlands. However also lovely to see our neighbours out, hear the car horns blaring and at least smile, wave and shout greetings to one another!! So important to have those moments of solidarity, let's keep it up!

Yes I usually tear up a bit. We had pot lids out last night and we battered them while hanging out the window. Wish we could give them more than a round of applause - the lack of PPE is shocking.

Like many on here i am an NHS worker and i would like to give my gratitude to everyone who is a key worker. Without them, this country would come to a grinding halt.... Thank you for all your hard work

I would like to thank everyone who stays home, helping to keep these key workers safe, so they can carry on keeping us all going.
