Can’t wait to do a parkrun, my new goal!

This is my second time attempting C25k, I made it to week 8 last year, caught a nasty bug and never got back into to it. Now I am on week 5 and it’s been tough but I am getting there. I do my runs at 5.30am in the morning on the treadmill. I am an overweight 42 year old and definitely not ready to run outside in all my jiggly glory 😂. Today I went along to parkrun with my daughter who does them regularly but I have never been to one. I registered on parkrun and took my barcode but I knew I wouldn’t complete the 5k. I don’t want to be the last person by a big margin. Anyway, I took part and followed week 5 run 2, I couldn’t manage all the running and I only did half the circuit (running outside is so hard compared to the treadmill 🥺) but it was so much fun! We were on a time limit and needed to leave quickly so I couldn’t finish the 5k by walking the rest of it. I can’t wait til I can do the whole parkrun jogging & walking and hand over my bar code to be scanned 😊

That’s encouraging and just shows the progress you have made so far

No one else is interested in your jiggly bits believe me, running outside is so much less boring than the treadmill and if it’s hard slow down over time your slow will become faster without you even realising it
