It felt like the gremlins were against me today. Couldn’t get various music apps to play to start with. Couldn’t get the audio for Laura so had to change to Michael. Got music working only for it to stop 15 mins in. So pantaloons to that I ran the rest of the way in silence and thoroughly enjoyed it!
To anybody out there that has doubts about being able to do this, believe me you can. I’m saying that as a 59 yo woman who had not run at all since being a child. If you have the determination you can do it. It might not be easy, you may come up against some hurdles ( not literally thank goodness), but if you focus, take it slowly, and persevere, you can do this.
Thanks to everybody who’s liked, commented, and given me support - this is a fantastic forum full of lovely people - something that’s rare in the world of social media.
Keep running folks, and stay happy 👍😁😘

No. I’m 64, doing parkrun’s. It’s great. I started from nothing last June.

Well done Wenderwoo , you HAVE smashed it! Brilliant, brilliant news I bet you are chuffed to bits (and deservedly so!) I'm still not getting out because of my cold & cough (but it is only a matter of time) which has the added advantage of 'allowing' me to drink a little more wine. I will raise a glass or two to you tonight in celebration and admiration!

Fantastic Wenderwoo ...congratulations on your graduation, you look really, really happy...nobody said it was easy did they? Some folk sail through it, some folk don’t but however it happens, you’ve done it!!! You beat all those gremlins that were trying to spoil it for you too...there was no stopping you!!

Thanks! I’m just going to consolidate for a few weeks. I’m pretty slow and only cover just over 3k, so hopefully I can improve on that during consolidation 😁
Good plan, for what it's worth I did about a month of 3 x 30 min runs a week then added about 10% to one run in a week until that felt comfortable then made that my "regular" run and added another 10% ish to the third if that makes sense......working for me any way.
I found it helpful as it was still some sort of plan to stick to after C25K.
Hope you keep posting your progress + continue enjoying your running, dont worry about pace, nothing wrong with the pace you're at and you might find it increases when you're not looking. 😁👍👍
That sounds like a good plan which I might copy ☺️ Yes, my pace suddenly got better on the first run of W9 which I thought was a fluke, but all three runs were pretty much identical! At least I can accomplish 3k in 30 mins which is what is required for the Running World Cup due to start soon 😁
