Awoke at 5:30 and spent the next half hour trying to convince myself it wasn’t too windy to run, at 6 I needed the loo so I thought well I’m up now!!

I went a slightly longer route which took me down past the lake and the wind blew so hard it literally took my breath.... but I kept running.

The start of the third 5 minutes was hard, my legs were hurting, I was actually sweating but I didn’t stop.

By the time I got to my front door I looked windswept and interesting but Strava said I have 5 pb’s today!!!

Things I have learnt today, don’t eat curry the night before you run it makes your sweat smell.. let’s say unusual and that no matter how long it takes you will get better..

Haha. I'll remember the curry tip. Lol. Reminds me of last year when I chap took some nuts into work covered in three of the world's hottest chili peppers. Nobody would touch them. I ate ate the packet. The pain and smell was horrendous 😂

I've been out this morning in the wind, so I know exactly where you're coming from. At least it woke me up 🍃

I have developed a liking for early morning running, I feel awake until about 8pm and then it’s all over 😴

Brilliant post and a fantastic run! Well done for getting yourself out and then pushing through when it got tough. 💪 5PB's too! 👏

Windswept is my normal look, I'm not sure about interesting though so you've got one up on me there. And thankfully, I don't like spicy food but I'll remember the tip 😄

That sounds like proper running to me! Very impressive and well done on the PB’s. Strava has not coughed up any of those yet! Something to look forward to.

Don’t be fooled I’m still slower than slow just not as slow as last week, I’ve gone from 19 min miles to 17 min miles over a further distance in 5 weeks, I’m not trying to go faster I think the programme gives you the strength to do that. Considering the last time I ran was 1998 I’m proud of that. I’m sure my other half can walk faster than I run but it’s all about baby steps and celebrating my achievements when they happen. We are all only competing against ourselves x

I am very much on 19mins and can’t imagine going much faster. My neighbour who is a ‘runner’ does the same stretch and is coming back while I am still on the way there!

All very true. Your time will creep up naturally and slowly but the important thing is to get through the programme without pushing yourself too hard. It might be worth switching off the trackers now and then!
