So I decided not to go out last night for the final run of wk3, blaming the bad weather. I'm now dithering about going out tonight and wonder if I am subconsciously sabotaging myself because I am concerned about 5 min runs in wk4. I know its ridiculous and was so pleased with myself for running for 3mins when 1min seemed like a lifetime initially.

Here's my advice: stop thinking, put your phone down, get your running kit on, lace up your shoes and go! Honestly, it's the only way the run will get done, and you'll feel so proud when you get back.

Good luck 🏃‍♀️👍

No amount of being told what to do, makes people do a thing willingly. But the fact you are posting about it seems to invite a 'push' to something you already want to do. But the choice is yours.

Will you? Won't you? What will you choose? 😊

Do you want to complete C25k.........if so, go out and run.

If not stay on the couch.

Did you go, it is sometimes hard to get out there. I usually run first thing in the morning, today I couldn’t go until after lunch, I really didn’t want to go but did it. It was tough against the wind but I got there and you feel so righteous once it’s done, keep going you will get there.

Please don't give up, you started this for a reason, remember that reason and the feeling you get at the end of each session aim for a treat at the major milestones for W5R3 I ordered a new fitness watch. Sign up for a charity run like the Run For Life, there is a link somewhere on here for free entry, get some sponsorship then you can't sit on your couch thinking if only. Have something to aim for and think of that when running, it will help.

Definitely know the feeling and I've been struggling to get three runs in a week (bad weather, one day forgot my trainers when I'd planned the gym so swam instead). I find making the decision in the morning that I WILL run after work as soon as I get home is best for me, as I can adjust my day to fit around it (eat dinner later, no caffeine just before I go, drink enough water) and I feel mentally prepared. That's half the challenge already done then.

Good luck!

We all know that feeling , but try not to think about the runs ahead, get your kit ready on the days you're due to run and just go!

Stop over-thinking things (say the Olympic Champion Over-thinker), all you have to think about at the moment is another run, exactly the same as the last two you have done. Once you have completed Week 3, the programme will have completely prepared you for the next week and so on). Just go slow, and then slow down some more, trust the programme, and you will be perfectly OK. Come back on here afterwards and tell us how you feel, you can be as smug as you like, we like smugness! (and although you're not going to need it, Good Luck!)

Don’t let the gremlins win 👽 You will feel so much better if you do it and don’t put it off again - good luck 👍😁

I felt just like this on Sunday, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to go until another 2 days’ time and I was worried about losing momentum. The weather was grim so I told myself I would go out for a Practice run. Take away the feeling that you must complete it, and replace it with the idea that however little you do, it’s still valuable practice. And once I was out, I just kept going and ended up completing the thing!!

So my advice is to give it a go but don’t beat yourself by thinking you’ve failed if you don’t do all of it. You haven’t - just by going out the door you’ve already done more than if you decided not to bother, and after that, every second is a bonus (and great practice!)

Good luck, I have faith that you can do it xx

Thanks for the above folks. Apologies, I don't know where my post letting you know I got out there went? Me and technology. Anyway, the teenager came out with me and I survived. Funny how mind gremlins work. Good luck to any other procrastinators out there.
