That's so good to hear! I had a rough time with W4R1 yesterday and have not been looking forward to attempting it again tomorrow. I'm trying to keep in mind that even an incomplete run is still practice for the next one but sometimes that's easier said than done! Hearing from somebody else that R2 felt a bit easier than R1 gives me just that little bit of extra confidence that I might be able to push through that second five-minute segment tomorrow :)

Congrats on the successful run!

Purpleorblue - I totally flunked W4R1 on Monday. I dreaded R2 on Wednesday and just about made it. Today, on schedule, I have completed R3 without too much effort. Once you’ve run one 5 min you’re well on your way to nailing W4.....it might not feel like it at the time though! Good Luck :)

Very true! At least it has been tried. Wise words. I've found w4r1 tough this evening. How did you find w4r2 in the end?

We are at the same stage. I did W4R2 last night. Your Strava stats even look similar too. This plan really works doesn't it!

Aw yeah it really does. I'm trying to encourage folk onto it when they say 'i couldn't run that' lol

I'm pleased to see that you've managed to complete W4 R2 and found it easier than R1. Well done you, that's proof that the C25K programme does work as it should. Week 4 has been my nemesis in C25K. I started last September having never been a runner, had a number of practice runs along the way but seemed to hit a brick wall at W4. The combination of that and 'other external forces' gave me the excuse to stop at the beginning of December, but with the intention of re-starting in the New Year. I have re-started, from the beginning and have completed every run this time, finishing Week 3 on Wednesday. I should be attempting W4 R1 tomorrow morning and will take your comments with me for added confidence. I'm sure I'm better mentally prepared for it this time, and although I'm not planning to give up without a fight am happy to consider it as a practice run if I cannot manage all of it. Good luck with W4 R3 and beyond, it sounds to me like you're on top of this.
