I'm a newbie to this site. I joined today

I have been doing Couch to 5k and found week 6 really knock my confidence. A friend recommended this site to me

Reading all of your posts has been such a support already.

Now looking forward to my next run on Sunday. Going to try slowing my pace down.

Absolutely - take it gently, be kind to yourself. It’s not a race, it’s all about this run, today, at this point in the program. Good luck and enjoy your run on Sunday 👍🏃🏽🏃‍♂️🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️

Well done for getting this far on your own!

Do read the guide to the programme, you're part way through but there's still useful information to get from it healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Good luck with the rest, it's all within reach 👍🏻😊

Welcome to the gang.

Really well done for getting so far along on your own. I don’t think I could have made it that far without these guys on here.

Week 6 trips up a lot of people. I think there is that extra sense of bravado after week 5 run 3.

But if you’ve got this far, you can definitely get right to graduation with everybody here helping.

You’ve already got the right idea by slowing down. Start off really slow! Remember, you can always pick up the pace at the end if you feel comfortable.

And my wife always says to me, when it starts to get really hard, just think of something else. Take more notice of your surroundings, focus on the tunes in your head if you’re listening to music. Your legs and feet know what to do and will just keep going, it’s your mind that needs a distraction!

One foot in front of the other and just keep doing it, no matter how slow.

Good luck for Sunday, we’re all rooting for you.

Hey everyone

I wanted to share I took on all of your encouragement and advice. I slowed my pace right down and it was far better today.

Thank you everyone for your support. I can't believe on Friday my run bought me to tears thinking that I couldn't do it and today with just a few changes it has made such a difference.
