So I’ve managed to get out there for the second run. I’m fed up with people asking if it’s my New Years resolution. No it isn’t. I’ve downloaded the couch to 5k app so many times. Slipped discs, broken foot, and fibromyalgia have all been a factor in not starting before, and I’m finally back up to my normal brisk walking pace with no problems, so I feel well enough to start.
I’m telling myself it’s fine I’m only managing 3 full 60 second runs, and managed less today than I did 2 days ago. Small steps right?

Definitely, just do what you can do! Anything is better than nothing and don’t worry if people think it’s a New Years resolution it doesn’t really matter! Good luck!
Thank you for your reply and support, coconutsandrice. I know it shouldn’t matter, but I feel like I’m being ridiculed by people when they say it, like they’re not expecting me to stick at it. I will prove them wrong.
Thank you, that’s pretty much what I have been saying. I managed my 2nd run of week one yesterday, although I managed to run less than I did on run one. Trying not to be disappointed in myself for that. Itching to go again today, but taking the recommended rest day.
Congrats on your second run of week 1, just take it slow and steady, never be afraid to slow down, providing you are doing a running motion it makes no difference if you are jogging slower than you can walk.
When you see/hear 'run' during the program think more of a slow jog, the aim is complete each 'run' as each run builds on the last one.
Never miss a rest day and try to stick to set days for your running as it helps build it into a habit.
Never be disappointed with a run, never use the F word either, the only run you will ever F on is the run you don't do.
