It's been over a year since I graduated now - I can hardly believe it! I'm still doing Parkrun as often as I can (20 in the past year - not often enough!). But no plans to run more than 5K - it's still hard going, but as a lifelong asthmatic (now 63) it still amazes me that I am doing this much. Not yet managed a 30-minute 5K, and still not actually enjoying the running itself. For me, it is the post-run sense of 'righteous' satisfaction that I have actually got out of bed earlier than normal on a Saturday and gone out and done it! π
Still finding it hard to motivate myself to go out and run alone on dark evenings through boring urban streets, though. βΉοΈ
Still - 2 years ago I would never have pexpected this, so who knows what the future holds? π

Thanks. I tell everyone how good a programme C25K is - so well designed and easy to follow, for anyone at their own speed. And Parkrun is an incredible movement. I've seen people of all ages (and dare I say, in the nicest way, all shapes and sizes) out there giving it their best effort. Sometimes they walk a lot more than run, but just getting out and getting moving is the achievement and all respect to every one of them.
Now if we could only get more people to understand the health value of dance too, maybe Morris sides could reverse their slow decline!
