After Friday's twenty minute run I thought today's five, eight and five would be a breeze.

Maybe it was because I played Sunday and my ankles were still stiff, but I found it quite hard. The first five seemed to last longer than the twenty! I did eventually get mind and body to settle into it but it still felt like a hard slog.

I'm getting way ahead of myself here, but just out of curiosity, how or what app do you good folks use to measure your distance? It really is just curiosity at this point and certainly not my goal to be sure I'm doing 5k. That is definitely the goal AFTER the C25K program is done πŸ‘

Hi Remikins

The apps for tracking your run would be RunKeeper - GPS Run, MapMyRun by Under Amour or the world leader Strava: Run&Ride Training. All theses come with in-app purchases. I think Strava has the best distance tracking because of the most users. I hope that this helps.

You're no different from a lot of people writing about wk6 and intervals again . Trust the plan and enjoy getting to the longer runs.

The app I used was Strava and it's free. 😊😊

It seemed like a real slog compared to Friday's twenty minutes, very odd, but yes, absolutely trust the program, it has me surprising myself πŸ‘

I use endomondo. The app is free, but certain aspects (like heart rate monitoring) are part of membership you have to pay for. I am not worried about that at the mo (haven't got a watch yet anyway) but it may be something I look into later.

Week 6 was a bit odd and apparently catches a lot of people out after doing the 20 solid minutes. Keep on going, it will all start to feel proper soon!!

Monday's (and this morning's) run was hard work, which is fine, but did seem like a step backwards after last week but I have faith I am still going forwards πŸ‘

Great running, some do just seem tougher. I used viewranger free download while doing c25k w6 -9 then bought garmin forerunner 35 watch as graduation gift to myself.

Lol, I love that you rewarded yourself πŸ‘

Always reward yourself, even if it's just a pat on the back. I had a star chart up for my 10k training - a little cheaper than the garmin 🀣

I use RunKeeper. It's free and it does everything I need it to do.

Re: wk6... yes, I think I was frustrated with the stop start. After a good solid 20 minute run, it felt like going backwards.

All for a good reason though and you'll soon be into nothing but running!
