Ran outside for the 2nd time

After Sunday’s first run outside, in which I felt terrible. I felt I needed to prove to myself that I could run 5k outside rather than the treadmill.

So this morning I had another go. This time a flatter route.

Much better. 5.1k in 34:40, I’m very pleased and I wasn’t out of breath (much) at the end.

I paced myself better than Sunday, firstly thought I was going to slow but I kept a beat in my head which really helped.

The first 3 k where slower and the last 2 faster and exactly the same times. 6:26.

Happy runner again. 😀

It just takes practice and determination to go from the treadmill to outside running and you did it . Well done you 🤗

Have you been running flat on the treadmill, or using a slight incline?

Mostly flat, but recently added incline to prepare for running outside.
