Fantastic run full of joy & excitement πŸ€©πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ’ͺCan hardly believe I’ve finally graduated. Overjoyed 😁 Definitely saved best till last. Ran the hilly route & had plenty left in the tank. Wow 🀩 Might have to have a cold shower 🚿 to calm down. To say I’m happy is an understatement. Think that’s enough from me πŸ˜‚ wow wow wow πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Thanks Oldfloss. Are there any recommended running apps post graduation? I’ve signed up to Bridge to 10k forum but need to consolidate for few weeks πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Oldfloss profile image
OldflossAdministratorGraduate in reply to Vegout25

Well, after a couple of weeks consolidation, you might try the C25K+ podcasts.

Many folk do them too soon... and miss the point. They are challenging and fun and teach us all about the different disciplines in our running.

nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/c...

So two weeks or so, short runs, new routes and the lovely longer runs that are the, see where you get to, runs...and then have a try :)

Thanks Morgan007. Echo others runners about this program it’s a brilliant app & forum. Thought my running days were over but this has reenergised me. Yoga to enjoy tonight & couch to 5k+ podcast tomorrow πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Keep going with it as it’ll rejuvenate you. I’m 54, 2years ago struggled every morning with knees & lower back pain hobbling around the bedroom. Started yoga which helped & then one weekend whilst watching Great North Run on telly heard them advertising Couch to 5k. Took 3 attempts but made it. Feel indebted to people on this forum who I’ve never met nor know their names. I’ve lost weight, knees are pain-free, no longer hobble, lot more energetic, improved my quality of life & I feel fantastic πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Well done for graduating. It’s not that long since I graduated so still remember the feeling. I’m now doing 30 minutes then 5k and then 30 minutes and it’s going well. On my 30 min runs my aim is to go further in the 30 minutes and on the 5k to shorten the time. Eventually I’ll be doing the 5k in 30 minutes. As long as you set yourself some sort of achievable target you will keep improving. Once again we’ll done.
