Tomorrow will mark 7 days since I last ran. Week 9 run 1 sat me firmly on the IC!

Since then I have kept up my cardio workouts with turbo training, done daily strengthening exercises, been to get my gait analysis re-done (spent a fortune on new supportive trainers) and I’ve even done a little bit of yoga. My ankle feels like it’s back to normal now, so I’m desperate to go fo a run tomorrow. I’m planning on not using the app this time but instead I’m simply setting a timer for 30 minutes (so I know when to stop - wishful thinking 🤣) and just running for as much (or as little) of that time that feels comfortable. I’m really, really hoping that my ankle holds out. Wish me luck 🤞🏼

👍Well done on your patience & preparation on the IC. Go slowly tomorrow & enjoy every minute being back out there!

Thanks annieapple! I’ll go super slow don’t worry. The last thing I want is to end up back on the couch ☺️

Very best of luck! Having been injured for 5 months I know how exiting it is to get back out there. It will feel so good to be running again - just don't get carried away, especially if this 30 minute run is your first one :)

in reply to linda9389

Thanks very much! This will be my second 30m run, but I’m still going to be super careful. The last thing I want is to end up on the IC again 😆

I hope it goes really well! 😄

Go gently and listen to your body- some running, (even a little), is better than no running!

in reply to Elfe5

Thank you 😊 I will, I promise. I’m not going to do too much if I’m not up for it 👍🏼

I hope it goes well. You're almost there so it must be so frustrating. Good luck 😊

It’s SO frustrating! I was absolutely gutted to fall at the final hurdle - as it were - on w9. But I’ll get there 😊

You didn’t fall, you just paused. But yes, can only imagine the immense frustration. All the best! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Very true 😁

You definitely will. Just a pause until that graduation and it does feel great when you get there. I managed 4 consolidation runs then my knee started to hurt ☹️. Let us know how you get on.
