Running after illness

So as many of you know. I took a weeks rest while in week three. Today , I decided to venture back on program, Despite my obstacles.

So I was nervous, Running on period. I thought it might make it worse. Both the run and the period, But I was wrong thankfully.

Very surprised, how hard I found this. After a week off. I found even the walking element difficult. I kept reminding my body I did it before. In the hopeitwould listen and remember. My Brain sure remembered the other week running this..

Had a few problems, good excuses to stop to. First no driver today, so has to use a taxi to come here. Then while exercisein my shoe lace came undone three times. I decided to run with and stop in walk to tie. But it made this sooo much harder. Hate stopping.

But I persisted and I did it.

Yippee, week 1 , run three complete.

Well done getting back out there after illness, especially in this weather. You should feel very proud

Well done, but be kind to yourself.

A week off is not going to impact your fitness, but not being fully recovered certainly will.

It takes longer to recover enough to cope with strenuous physical exercise than with everyday life.

Take care.

So great you are back! Well done! 👍 But as IannodaTruffe says: Be careful not to overdo it, listen to your body. And have a nice Weekend!
