So I started my couch to 5k journey in late June. And yesterday, I ran 8k for the charity organisation I work for in Brighton and didn’t walk once! I was slow, but completed it in 1 hour 3 minutes and I’m chuffed. Never would have thought at the beginning of June that I’d even be able to complete a 5k, let alone 8! On to the next one :) anyone who is just starting out, believe me when I say if I can do it, you can too!!

Congratulations Habley!!

It must feel absolutely amazing!! Did you celebrate at all?

Any tips that helped you out that you could share? I’m starting week 4 on my next run and I’d love to be where you are sometime soon 💪🏼

Well done you! What an achievement xxxxx

Honestly, all I can say is keep putting one foot in front of the other. It sounds so simple but just keep moving, don’t walk until it says you can walk, even if you have to completely slow down, don’t stop the action of running!! And really focus on what it feels like at the end of each run and remember how good it feels to have completed it! Keep going :) x

Well done - it must have been a bit soggy along the undercliff yesterday.

Brilliant Habley , loving the bling! I hope you celebrated in style? It’s amazing that when we first start 5k seems like the impossible but look at you running 8k...it really is achievable and you’re here to prove it, well done
