Help with calf cramp

I'm currently on my 2nd attempt at C25k, previously reached 2x8mins but stopped due to various problems. After a 4 month break I've started again from wk 1 and I'm currently at w3 r2 . Although I'm completing the runs, about 5mins in, my right calf muscle spasms every single time. I've tried specific calf stretches, ibuprophen gel, muscle rub in fact , I've tried every remedy Google provided but to no effect. I'm managing to hobble through but as the runs get longer I'm not sure I can keep it up as it doesn't seem to be improving, any ideas?

Cramp is horrible and more often than not dehydration so drink loads of glasses of water every day so there is plenty hydration in your body. Tired muscles cramp so maybe an extra rest day. Then there is calcium there is a link with cramp so might be worth looking up about it.

I did try extra water, before during and after with no change, it's also the same leg everytime so I'm wondering if it's something Im doing physically wrong?!? Thanks for the calcium tip, I'll look into that.

Might be a pulled muscle then, try running really slowly . Apparently it’s about what you drink the day before that makes the difference, or possibly your trainers maybe get a gait analysis.

Try looking on fleet feet site they have a few more tips and one which worked for me was extra arch support when running so i got my feet checked and got a pair of trainers to help me when i run and now touch wood no problem at all
