Whilst not a run, an era about too close

Those that follow an read my posts know I started running C25K at 57 in January 2019 and graduated in nine weeks just the day after my 58th Birthday and the day my mum passed away in the hospice. You will also know I suffered a strain of some sort after I had been running in my dog agility competitions and was now hopefully on way back having run 3 x 5k in or just under 30 mins well the next chapter is about to start with probate taking a very long time I have now emptied mums place sufficiently for it to go on the market as title says this will be end of an era whilst I never lived there the bungalow has been part of my life for nearly 30 years. Loads of memories good and bad. Will need to run soon to clear the head and chat with mum. Keep running people you can do this.

I feel for you, having had to do similar for my mother last year it's weirdly tough in areas we really don't expect. Look after yourself as best you can 👍🏻💕

Change is hard sometimes, whether it's for good or not

My (much wanted, much waited for) divorce also played mind games when it finally came through after 4 long years of back and forth.

We just need to learn to keep the good memories and ditch the bad ones, or use the bad ones to make the good ones seem better - running will help and I'm sure your mum is proud of you

That day of your graduation and the passing of your mum will stay with you for ever. So I like to think your mum will always be part of your running and give you the strength to get through each day and each run. Best wishes to you and your family 😊😊

I hope running can provide some calm thinking time for you in amongst the heartache and hard work of probate. I’m sure your mum would be proud of your running and ready for those chats. Hope it clears the head

Your closeness to your mum is very moving. You’re so lucky to have had such a great relationship. I lost my mum 8 years ago and my dad passed more than 20 years ago but hardly a day goes by that I don’t wish I could tell them something. So I do. Enjoy your chats with your mum while you run. X

My heart goes out to you Papillon17 , it truly does...you are going through so much at the moment...and have a difficult journey ahead..take your time with everything...your running will certainly help, I can tell you from experience. Treasure your memories of your Mum and the bungalow...time is the only healer...in time you will adjust but you will never get over the loss of your Mum. She will always be with you, in your heart, wherever you go...those memories will come back to you when you’re runnng...

Take care of yourself and be kind to yourself too xx

Thanks Mummycav I feel I am doing well wanted to keep everyone updated as was still running just not as often. Weather keeps interfering with plans. Loads of memories good and bad just means more changes ahead.

I've had to do this not so long ago, it's a strange experience. I felt better though, once it was done. Hope you do too, and you can get back to your running, when this weather gives us a break!
