When I ran years ago, I never listened to anyone but my body, no apps then and what I did was similar to this app but varied more. Speed will come later, as you get less winded and fit. I was shocked when I saw with week 4, my faster runs were more than the week before but felt the same. Not a lot more, but seconds matter. ; ) Slow and steady and you will be surprised in a few weeks.
