Hey.... while I was running my first 10k on Sunday (yes it’s possible) my thoughts wondered back to where it all began.... Right here on this program C25k with all you fabulous people and a wonderful support system. 2 years ago I was a couch potato i doubted myself i thought I couldn’t do it I wanted to give up many times I thought I was too old to start now (51 at the time) I ached I hurt I got injured I cried (several times) it took me longer that expected but I kept going with the encouragement from this forum and look what happened... that’s me on my run buddies back at 53...10k in chip time 59.55 (don’t know what my Garmin was playing at) elated overjoyed laughing two stone lighter fitter with lower blood pressure and much healthier! A huge Thankyou to all those that take the time to support the program and for those who think they can’t do it.... Don’t give up... you can .. it’s possible for everyone πŸ’•πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ’•

Well done. It starts off as a challange, but soon becomes a pleasure, and almost an addiction this running lark :)

Thank you .. I often lose the love for getting out the door but that feeling when you get back and you’ve done it is the best πŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈ

Well done Julie-Mirko, posts like this are an inspiration to those who are starting their C25k journey. Your faces say it all. Running is great for the body and soul and this programme is definitely the best way to start. I bet your friend is glad you have lost 2 stone too!

Keep on running πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ…πŸ‘πŸ‘

Yes I never buy photos from races - I don’t look quite as gazelle like as I would wish.

OMG! Well done you! I hope I can do the same. I'm 51, almost 52, & just restarted C25K after giving up in week 3 end of last year. I'm only W2R2 today but determined to smash it this time! I've reached my Slimming World target having list almost 5 stone, so now gotta drag the remaining wobbly bits in to fit! LOL!

Your story sounds just like mine, aches, pains & tears, so hopefully I can get to the same ending. You're an inspiration! :-D
