Sunset run

πŸ˜‚ The nights are REALLY drawing in. In actual fact, it wasn't quite as dark as the photo suggests but I am going to have to be more organised about getting out for a run before night falls! And at the end, I did Japanese Slow Running up a big hill and it was brilliant, you'd have been proud of me DiscoRunner

Oh no... Mrs UNM will want me to turn the heating on shortly by the looks of it!

Nice running... and very well done on that hill.

Haha! The eternal battle for control of the thermostat... I'm on Mrs UNM's team, I'm afraid!

It nearly caught me out last night Debs, it's changing so quickly

It's mad - how will it be in midwinter?! I only started C25k in March so haven't had to think about autumn / winter running challenges. Might have to get me a head torch!

There's a thought! I've just set the heating to come on for an hour tomorrow morning 😳 I expect it will get turned off again as soon as it's been spotted πŸ˜‚

I was the same. Started in March and the evenings stretched out as the runs got longer do it just seemed natural.

I suspect I will notice a difference this week after having been off for a week with a rotten cold. Really not looking forward to when the clocks go back and it'll be pitch black by 4.30. Luckily, I have worked out a 5k route around the village that is streetlit, but that won't quite be the same as running through the woods and parks in the evening.

Love the dramatic picture, Debs. Really good to see you going from strength to strength and hope the hip is all OK now.

Thanks Stephen_UK - there was a lovely sunset and a very pretty new (ish) moon but it's come out dark and dramatic instead! Hip still behaving itself though it was a bit grumbly this morning. I'm hoping to get to Parkrun on Saturday!

Good luck for Parkrun! Hoping those grumbles go away.

Well done !..I started off with my sunglasses on, but really should have brought a torch. It 's definitely starting to get dark a lot earlier 😎

A torch is not bad idea. I might tuck one in my sports bra next time!

Aw, thanks Annieapple! I had promised myself that I'd run up the blooming thing at the end and when I got there, I thought "Nahhhh" but then I remembered the Japanese So Jogging and thought I'd give it a go - made it sooo much easier.

It was getting dark at 8 here the other night. So depressing! But a big hill? I'm impressed. A slight slope floors me πŸ˜‚

I think I could have walked it faster! But it felt great to "conquer" it. πŸ˜‚

Just like Kate Bush. Running up the hill. Sorry, I'm showing my age there!

πŸ˜‚ That song often pops into my head when out running.
