Bursting with Pride

Tonight I came home from work knowing it was cooler and cloudy and guilty that I had not run over the weekend or since last Thursday. So asked other half if she minded as did not want to muck up dinner time. No probs there so off I set feeling pretty good but always a gremlin at the back of the mind that I could fail a rerun of Week 9 Run 3 but off we went always feeling further in front of Laura’s 5 min call outs than normal. Well worked it out that this was consolidation Run37 and what a run. Best six distances ever fastest 5k just absolutely gushing sorry everyone really consolidating now.

Well done, new PBs are always something to be proud of.

If you want to build on that, remember to spend 75-80% of your time at an easy conversational pace only pushing hard for the remainder.

I do as a lot of the Run is singing to my music and it has only been a very gradual step up but consistently hitting 5k under 30 mins so very pleased

Congratulations and very well done on your new Pb. Your flying and doing so well. My goal for 2019 was to consistently run sub 30 min 5K’s. It’s not easy to achieve. Wishing you every further success.

And to you I am coming up to my six month C25K Graduation Anniversary and of course the passing of my Mum so have really worked at the consistent side of it. Good luck sure it will come as I said this was 37 consolidation run.

Thank you. I started doing interval training all through the winter. Rain, wind, cold and sleet, January, February, March and April. It paid off and I’m sub 30 now for every 5K and even managed sub 1 hour 10K’s. My next goal is sub 25 minute 5k. It’s a great feeling when a new PB arrives. They are hard won. Well done again on yours.

Not sure I will get that low just happy it’s my best one so far. Considering I only started running inJanuary at 57. Well done you.

I’m just thrilled to be able to run 5K without stopping in under 30 mins. It’s an amazing feeling. 2 years ago I was stuck on a couch. This time last year I was just starting all over again after stopping for 6 months due to a back injury. This year I’ve consistently been running every week. I’m just addicted now.

Lovely! You’ve really achieved a great standard for 5K. 🎉👍🎉 And very exciting that it produced all those others markers of success this time! Enjoy the glow of a great run! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Yes. Very hard to remember in the dark days (both the literal and the emotional ones). You’ve certainly won through/run through in style! 😊

Doing fine thanks, trying to increase my distance slowly, building up strength hopefully. Having to be careful with my foot so taking my time. At 6.5k so far 😊

Well done I did one run of 10K but have stuck around the 5k mark. So thereby running around the 30 mins mark. Good luck with the building up.

Thank you, I'm going to start a 5-10k with a running club, but I think 5k is my natural distance.

Thank you it did on that and a couple of the others improvements are getting more regular but had not produced a great batch of results in one go.
