So I made the classic rookie mistake of going too fast and too hard the run after I graduated from Couch25K about 3 months ago and I am still dealing with the same hip injury! I have had a few physiotherapy sessions which have been really helpful and I really want to get back into training for 10K and I signed up for my first half marathon in March 2020, but my hips aren't letting me! I know that I have to listen to my body and I'm not going to give up running, I'm just feeling really frustrated at the moment! Can anyone relate to this?

Frustration at being injured
Absolutely can relate to this. My hip started playing up about 6 weeks after graduation and still isn't quite right. I've been referred to physio and have been doing my physio exercises every day. Definitely helping but I want a magic wand. Physio says I'm OK to run if I feel 95% ok but I need to do walk/run, and build back up gradually. All very frustrating as I had been really pleased with my progress up until then. I am feeling up to an experimental slow jog later today so will see how it goes.
Not running sucks! Hopefully your injury is healing well though, that’s the most important thing... plenty of time to that HM. Get well soon.
Yep. Sorry to hear that as I did same after graduating and got a muscle tear which stopped me running. Be patient, take advice from the doc or physio and you'll come back stronger and wiser!! My long runs are now done at a snails pace but I really enjoy it. Good luck in your recovery
