Graduated today!!

Did my W9R3 this morning and so chuffed! C25K has been a genuine life changer for me and Mrs D... struggled to do 60 seconds in W1 but now doing full 30 x minutes! Miraculous!

To any newbies and or those on-journey, I’d say stick at it and follow the programme, if necessary repeat a week, and you’ll get to where you want to be.

I’ve put a few postings on here and found the interaction so motivational. Mega thanks to all who have blogged, it’s been great to hear from you all.

So now onto Planet Parkrun, first one this Saturday at Pontefract Racecourse which, as a betting man, I’m really looking forward to!

Happy running everyone! 👍👍👍

Congratulations to you both. Celebrate well. Sadly the tote won’t be taking bets on the run, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy the support and atmosphere there regardless. Enjoy consolidation and all your future running adventures

Really am Buddy, it’s been an amazing journey and as cliched as it sounds, didn’t think it was possible at the start plus the encouragement that you and others give has been first class 👍

Well done! This gives me so much hope as I'm only on wk2r2. It must be so exhilarating completing this programme.

Dalmorangie profile image
DalmorangieGraduate in reply to t7sha

Thanks! It’s immensely satisfying and the hardest of all was W1R1.....actually starting is the biggest challenge but it’s a near miracle how you just keep improving as you stick with the programme. I struggled with 60 seconds at first. Plus the inspiration and banter on this forum has been superb and part of the journey. Keep on with the programme and you’ll be there soon.

Thanks and that’s nice of you to say so! Much of my inspiration came from reading posts of others on here and I presume they did the same before me too, so all of us benefit from an accumulated wisdom on this forum. Stick to the programme (a life changer!) and keep interacting on here, you’ll soon be graduating yourself 👍

Well done! All of the graduation comments inspire me. I’m wk4R2 and still can’t believe I can do that and enjoy it but to imagine running 30 mins - wow! But I will and stories like yours keep me going!

Congratulations. Enjoy your park run. It is only a run! Not a race.

Then just keep plodding 30 minutes, three times a week. No distance pressure. Just enjoy it. Now I have settled in, I enjoy using Rock my run app to map, time and provide some background music for my runs.

Thanks, I see you graduated a few months ago, how are finding consolidating things? Parkruns, regular runs, 10K??

Yogaandrun profile image
YogaandrunGraduate in reply to Dalmorangie

Hi ya,

I'm running regularly 30 mins 3 times a week with a least one long run 5k or more and love it. I'm working up to 10k but taking it easy and slowly.

Dalmorangie profile image
DalmorangieGraduate in reply to Yogaandrun

Great stuff, that’s really good and i do fancy going for 10k at some point but seems a million miles away at the moment!

Yogaandrun profile image
