W4R2 Calf injury

My first post and it's an injury one :( . So in last 2 minutes of W4R2 and actually beginning to believe I can do this and my calf popped! Had to limp the rest of the way home. Advice on what to do to recover much appreciated x

Sorry to read this... I got injured early in the plan too, but took some satisfaction from the fact it was my first sporting injury in 30 years!

I’d recommend getting it checked out soon if it doesn’t settle, preferably with physio.

It’s difficult to advise exactly what you can be doing without being medically trained and having a look at the injury, but I found this from the ask the doctor but of Runner’s World runnersworld.com/health-inj...

Also, have a look at seated cardio routines to keep your general fitness level rising, this will make the comeback to running easier. Be sure to watch any YouTube or similar workouts through first, some suddenly have you using the legs a lot. We have a couple linked in pinned posts over on the strength and flex forum.
