Every minute is an achievement

I've just typed this on a reply and thought I like that. We can all beat ourselves up when a run doesn't go to plan. We think we're too slow, we worry we were a few minutes short of our desired run. We think we'll never get to 5k.

But do you know why we all started this witchcraft that is c25k? Because we aren't runners. It's new to us. We are (and I'm using we in the broadest sense, forgive me if it's not relatable to you) couch people who want to run. And so long as we listen to our bodies, trust the program, and support each other we will be runners.

And every single minute we run is an achievement!

Thank you for listening and pass the wine over 😂

Nothing wrong with a trundle rwd! Me, I like the joffle combined with Japanese Slow Running method!

Couldn’t have put it better myself. Yes, we’re all on a journey of self improvement. It can be tough but somehow we don’t give up. Happy running 🏃‍♀️

Thanks for this. I have just returned from my week 8 run 2 and sadly didn’t complete it, running for just 22 mins. I know this is because I was going much faster than I usually do, still fairly slow but that’s ok. It wasn’t intentional to go faster but my stats tell me it is so and I certainly ran out of steam. This is the first run I haven’t completed and It is frustrating not to finish. But then I realised that I have just run for 22 minutes and I couldn’t do that a few weeks ago and I’ve just run faster for longer than I have ever done before. So, not a fail, just another step in my journey to becoming a runner.

Thanks jazzy 😁 I've not run since Monday but I did play an hour of mixed five a side football yesterday! So I'm counting that 😝 planning next one for Saturday morning.
