Having recently graduated and having run my first 5k only yesterday, I am today disabled by a swollen, painful ankle after be being bitten/stung at the weekend whilst out in the forest with my grandchildren.
This is an increasing problem for my body to deal with and is annoying and inconvenient (often requiring antibiotics for infection) but none more so than this year as it will interrupt my running plan! ๐ก
Hopefully wonโt get any worse. Keep on running x

Well done on your first 5k! ๐ I'm looking forward to that if I can get the confidence. I totally understand you being annoyed at the interruption to your running ๐ rest up and you'll be back in no time.
Nasty, I had one this year too, stopped me running for a week started as a blister, went red and swollen like yours, then went bruise yellow, red, white - a whole variety of colours. It made me so tired, I think it was an allergic reaction
Fingers crossed yours doesn't get any worse and heals up quickly.
This is designed for mosquito bites, you give yourself small shocks (barely felt) and it interrupts the body's histamine reaction resulting in faster healing and far, far less reaction.
