Hi, I have started this journey with my 20 year old daughter and whilst enjoying it, I am finding it hard! We’ve nearly completed week 3. I have a question, does anyone else get pain in their hip after running? It’s quite uncomfortable, and I’m not sure what to do about it. I really don’t want to stop running, but at the same time I don’t want to do any damage

We do expect normal aches and pains when we begin this... Have you read the FAQ post for Newbies...? There is a great deal of very useful information there
Warming up well is essential... as are the post run stretches... ( they are linked in that post...)
Also.. make sure that you are putting in some strength and stamina work on some of your rest days.. all that non impact exercise helps...
Try to land lightly I call it kissing the ground with your feet..and try these exercises for new runners too

Just take it slow and steady and you will get stronger with each and every run
Thank you, I will read the info. Currently I don’t do any warm up aside from the 5 min brisk walk. I have however found a good stretch for the sore hip which I will keep doing
