Hi all I’ve had over 6 weeks break as had hip bother , X-ray physio and started back at week 3 this pm , managed it fine with slight niggle in hip, moving on to week 4 on Monday.... my question is surely a little pain is to be expected , it’s a 1 in comparison to a 10 6 weeks ago

Only you know the answer to that...If you have the all clear to go. then you know you may run but any pain after a serious injury should be respected... so....

Maybe begin at Week 1 and then move through and build back gently...Many of us have done this before, ( me included), and it works well, particularly after a long period off running... and six weeks is ...:)

It is good to see you back... no need to rush it:)

Thanks for that I was up to 10 k, but I hear ya , took it easy and felt pretty good maybe compromise and repeat week 3 again and not move on

If it helps.... I have been on the IC over the last few weeks in June, with a torn Tibialis tendon....... I was up to HM distance.... I had to begin again with 1K...and it has been slow... but slow and steady am back up to 8K.... it comes..

The hardest bit is patience xx

Hi Cuig1975, presumably your physio has given you advice about getting back into running? I have just restarted running after a back injury and discussed when / how much to do with the physio.

Some running and building up cautiously is so much better than no running at all. 😀
