I started couch to 5k, 5 weeks ago and I did run 3 of week 5 today in different surroundings in a very hilly area and found it really difficult.
I normally run on the pavements and it’s fine but I’m away somewhere rural this week and don’t want to stop my roll so have run in very hilly areas and it’ was so hard.
Does anybody have any tips on how to handle hills?
Thank you

Just run up hills a little bit slower than you run on the flat or down hills, congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃 😊.
Well done on completing wk5r3. If your new to hill running it can feel really hard. It's like anything else the more you do it the better it gets. Just go slow 😊
I look in Onthego. It allows you to map a run and the terrain. I can then see what I want to travel. Just makes it a bit more manageable. When you find a reasonably flat road, run back on your self. I have just fun my 1st park run and it was hilly. I’m going to do more hilly stuff now, to train myself up. Lol. Keep onthgo, your doing fine.
