I did a run (I'm week 7) one evening this hot week? Thinking it would be cooler? - I’m usually a ‘first thing in the morning runner’
Halfway through I checked the temperature.....still 27 degrees 🥵No wonder I found it hard!
Had a 5 day break then went out today in the rain!! It was bliss! 😊 Even did that little last minute speed up that is encouraged!
Hope you all managed better than me in that heat? I’m sure it’s not healthy to do it in those sort of temperatures?
I took a break from the training last week because of the heat. Like you am on week 7 and have to run after work and it was unbearably hot, I wouldn't have enjoyed it. I started week 7 this morning under the pouring rain and really enjoyed it and I found I had not lost fitness at all! temperatures next week are early 20 so will complete my week 7 (hopefully!)
I was thinking about the advice I’ve read here about dressing as though it’s 10 degrees hotter than it is - so I think it could be really bad for us running in that heat - so wise to take a break. And now you know how lovely it is to run in the rain!

Oh it was just ridiculous. I ran on Thurs. Got up at 6 not 5; big mistake. Temp was where the sun hit was already too much.
However now I love the rain ☔️
