You are doing very well indeed, don't worry about time, as long as you run slowly that is the main thing, onwards and upwards to week 8, not long now until you graduate.

Hey don’t worry! You’re doing well and so much more than many others who are still just sat on the couch! Be proud of yourself that you are out there “doing it” as any exercise is great for the body and mind and I’m sure you’ll gradually get there. Just enjoy your efforts and progress will follow. Go for it and we’ll done you!

You just need to run for 30 minutes.... so no worries:) On you go, slow and steady works just fine.. Enjoy!

You’re doing amazingly well NB! 👍 Don’t get hung up on distance, just make 30 minutes your goal and be very proud of what you’re doing for yourself! 😀❤️

I’m right there with you NurseBez! Week 8 starts tomorrow and slow slow slow is my mantra! But, hey, it got you this far so don’t abandon Slow now!! Good luck!

You're both going to totally slay week 8 - having just finished it myself. Slow and steady works just fine!

Hi NurseBez I am at exactly the same stage. I run slowly too. I look at my splits and cringe a bit. But mainly so glad to be running I don’t mind the time and distance. Good luck, I’ll watch out for your posts!

It's absolutely couch to 3k for me too and I'm just 1 week ahead of you :)

Hi NurseBez, I am doing my consolidation runs (10 so far) and my best in 30 min is 3.7 km, after next week, I will start building up to 5k, going a bit longer each week... I honestly think we are doing great :) 3k is much better than 0k,which was where i started, so be proud of the results so far!!

Sounds like you’re doing fab. Slow and steady and all that jazz. I’ve been concerned about my distance, broke the 3 k this morning. I reckon we’re doing fab to be off the couch and doing the do 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Don't worry about how fast you go, it isn't about speed it is about how far so go as slow as you want but keep moving. One foot in front of the other and one day you will find you have speed and you won't even know it is happening. You got this and don't worry about it. Graduation coming up.

Don’t worry! Three weeks after graduation I still just manage 3.5k!

I graduated in Nov 18 and still can't run 5K in 30 minutes, but I still run 3 times a week. 2 runs are at conversational pace for a minimum of 1 hour and the and the other is parkrun and the best time I can manage (which is slowly improving). Forget distance it is about time on your feet. Keep going at the pace that suits you.

Speed not important, more important you go at your own pace. Good.luck!

As many have said already, run to time, it takes the pressure off (for me anyway). I run between a 🐢& a 🐌, nice & steady is the name of the game. Happy running👍🏻
