Ok, I was a bit naughty today. Bouyed by my 12 min run on Tuesday, I decided to skip a week and join Michael for W6. So this was 5, 8, 5 min runs. I did it. I may regret it tomorrow morning! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŽˆπŸŽ‰πŸ˜

Oh dear... that was naughty...please make sure you do go back and do the runs you missed:)

You may feel fine... or not, but...

You need to complete every Week of the programme to reach Graduation... and Week 5 is an important one... the structure of the programme takes you to Week nine safely and injury free...:)

πŸ˜¬πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ I have been doing lots of walking in between Miss! And I try to be a good girl Miss! I am hoping to do a Parkrun on Saturday. My first! I hope it doesn't rain! X

I know....walking as a part of some of your your rest day exercises is good but, it is our role to keep you on track if you want to get to that Graduation podium...This, as you know a nine week programme and is so, structured....Just repeat the week you missed... it will help you to run for 25 minute of the Park Run....:)

W4r1... 12 minute downhill... W6r1...

Is there a reason why you’re not following the plan? C25K is a wildly successful, carefully constructed training plan. Going off on random runs and skipping weeks (especially the most important transition week 5) seems a little reckless.

If you are finding the runs too easy then I’d advise you to up your running pace a little, but ensure that you tackle the runs in the proscribed order.

I don’t want to come over all cod psychologist on you... but are you anxious about the 20 minute run in W5R3?? You seem to have skipped it.

My point exactly... nannying old fogey that I am, but we have seen so many folk come unstuck, have we not:)

Do you know what? I misread W5! I thought it was 5 min runs for some reason. I just went back and looked and realised it is two 8 mins run πŸ™ˆ I will go back to W5. I do get over ambitious and I can't help it. And I do appreciate both you and OF reining me in. I do need it! 😩

Actually I assumed the week was the same all through. It isn't is it? Wow!

in reply to angie31964

Yeah, it would be a shame to miss week 5, because there's a crucial run in there. But If you can do W6 W1, maybe just go back to W5/R3... Or W5/R2... I wouldn't go back to W5/R1

Thank you. I will do R2 I think. I assumed they were all the same πŸ™ˆπŸ˜³

in reply to angie31964

It's the first time it changes, so it's understandable. Good luck!
