So I graduated last week, Managed every single run but this week I’ve been trying to run 30 minutes still but I’ve had to give up on 20 both times!? I really don’t understand it and I’m so frustrated at myself 😭 how did I complete 9 weeks and now can’t run?!

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Your body is still getting used to running the longer distances and that will only get easier with time. Just keep going as you are and you will know when you can run for a bit longer.

Perhaps it's a lot to do with the excitement of graduation, just take all those 30 minute consolidation runs slowly, I hope you continue with your running, sadly there are many people who graduate and you never hear from them again, I just hope that you continue with your running.

You maybe running too fast, slow your pace. It is difficult when you haven't got the voice in your ear telling you how much longer etc.

Maybe set yourself a goal like a parkrun to help motivate you.

Maybe just concentrate on slowing right down . You are still new to running even though you've graduated. Good luck 😊

I still found it hard after graduation. I think because of pushing harder week after week during C25k it caught up and I felt tired. My fitness has increased again now and levelled again. The main thing is keep going and you’re strength will continue to grow and it’ll get easier. Good luck!

I say just keep giving it a go. Mix your routes up. Just enjoy the run. As your fitness increases you will easily run for longer. Try not to think about it too much, best to just do it sensibly and if you’re tired stop if you feel ok and go a little longer keep going 💪🏻.

There's nothing wrong with having the odd shorter run mixed in with the 30 min ones. Perhaps decide to do a shorter one each week? Give yourself a couple of rest days before doing 30 minutes again. You are maybe a bit tired out and just need an extra rest day. It's still all quite new and it's only a few weeks that you have been doing the longer runs. Focus on enjoyment and try not to stress too much about time and distance. I think that if you are running regularly, you will find your enjoyment again.

I totally get where you are at. I slso struggled on the consolidation runs. When I did manage 30 mins it was a real grind. Stick with it. It's not an issue to do a short run each week. I dropped to 15mjns on one of mine.

I then started using Nike Run Club guided runs. It's free 👐 but they really worked for me. There is even a run called "I don't want to run run" it's 30 mins so perfect for consolidation.

Today 5.5 weeks after graduation I had a break through run, so please keep going. You will rediscover your mojo x

Hi Tara, I came to offer advice but I've just read what jogunlikely posted, and I can't better it. It takes the pressure off when you plan to end one of the runs at 15 or 20 minutes. Oh, and you probably need one of these🐌🐌🐌😊

Stay with it, you are still doing brilliantly!
