Is it better to run morning or night?

Hi still on week 1 but I struggle for time and was thinking about getting up at 4.30am to run.

Is this a good idea or bad idea as I’ve only just got up and will have probably not had breakfast?

It’s a personal choice. Mornings work for me (before breakfast) but many prefer evenings. Maybe try both and find out what works for you?

I too find it easier to run on an empty stomach in the early morning. I don't feel sick that way.

Also in the evenings there is more chance of something coming up with the family to stop me running.

I think it’s just personal preference. I couldn’t imagine getting up at 4:30 to run but if that works for you that’s great. Give it a go and see how you get on.

4:30am is the middle of the night.😀 I pick Monday and Wednesday evenings generally and go for a run the second I get home from work. I run on Saturday morning also for Parkrun. I couldn’t run early before work. Best to find days and times which suit best and stick to them as best as you can.

Whatever works for you. I find I have more in the tank early mornings, all I need is a few mouthfuls of water before I leave. My legs feel much heavier in the evening after a days use. Good luck!
