Wk6 over and feeling the buzz

Well here I am, this morning finished wk6 and just beginning to finally get the buzz 😁. I found my rhythm and was surprised that no aches appeared in the first 5mins, a few twinges later but by 12.5mins all sorted.

Last week Dog child wanted a book on Amazon and to get free delivery asked me to top up. In my new found desire and need πŸ˜‰ to explore running techniques I found Chi Running by Danny Dreyer. Up to chapter 3 and applied what I'd read on the mental approach and visualized my Chi energy flowing through my arms and legs. Might have been distraction, but seems to help so will be reading on tonight. Appears to be similar style to Niko slow running, has anyone else found this technique helpful or has any experience of it? The addiction is kicking in πŸ˜€.

Also 'fessed up our secret to Dog child's identical twin. Appart from saying she felt like "it feels similar to be told she was adopted" she wanted to come out with us. Thinking another runner in the making once she finishes her A' levels, she is even saying it would be a good stress buster when she goes to University. Now feeling better and thinking graduation may be possible, knees are still good... touch wood. Good luck to my virtual running buds and all those posting that have helped me get to here, thanks so much

Fantastic. Well done finishing week 6. You must be high as a kite.

Happy running for all of your family!

Thanks it's a good feeling, hope it continues. So much for identical twin telepathy, the Nootinator had no idea what her sister was doing, but she is really keen to start c25k now.

Well done. I to have finished week 6. It is an achievement. Will look this book up.. As the runs get longer, I seem to find them easier, strange. I do feel so much better, both physically and mentally.

I definitely feel better and enjoy the me time. At the moment listening to BBC sounds of the eighties and reliving my youth as a distraction... only problem is the earworms can be horrendous πŸ˜‚

Another addict on the horizon. Hurray. Hard to escape now. πŸ˜„πŸ‘πŸΌ

And what fun if you end up with 3 runners in the family! πŸŽ‰ We have 3, but both daughters are way ahead of me. 🀣
