So I graduated a couple of months ago and have been running 5k three times a week since then but it hasn't been getting any easier, and I still haven't managed to do 5k in 30 mins. I am really enjoying it though and have kept pushing along, to finally achieve it in 38 mins and then unbelievably 36. Well this morning I felt rotten, aching and woman's aches (without being graphic) weather is hot, and I have never felt less like a run! However gave myself a kick up the backside and asked my husband to come and pick me up at the end of a 5k so I knew once I had started it I had to keep going. Well I am grinning like a cheshire cat as I only went and got a PB of 34 mins, I have no idea how, and I have to keep checking my running ap to see that it was right!!! This means the absolute world to me, ok I may not have actually achieved 5k in 30 mins, but at the beginning of the year I wouldn't have been able to run for 1 minute!! So it must be getting a bit easier! lol

Well done and you're right when you look back at your first run or post you can see how far you've come 😊😊

Congratulations on your new Pb. Well done. It takes a long time to build up running legs. I was running 5k x 3 times per week for 18 months on and off before I could consistently do sub 30 minute 5k. Your making great progress and you will get your sub 30 minute 5k time soon.

Well done !
There is a theory (you can google it) that the first day of your period can be the first day of a 2 week window of better sporting prowess !
